Isosceles Jane is a children's story originally written by Kajal Magal. Through the help of creatives and community it has since evolved into a book series, an animated tv series, interactive education and a global cuteness sensation.
When Kajal Magal was 10 years old, she wrote a book called Isosceles Jane for a 5th grade math class assignment . The story followed an isosceles triangle who felt like she didn't belong among her classmates because was shaped differently than everyone else. The story included an index of geometry terms and theorems. Though created with a pure heart and secured a good grade - Isosceles Jane was gently put away in a box of school memories and forgotten for many years. Little did Kajal know, Isosceles Jane and the kidshapes would patiently wait to go on to inspire and teach children just like her, all over the world, There was destined to be more to Isosceles Jane's story.
Two decades later, when Kajal's family moved out of her childhood home - her mother discovered the original purple construction paper bound story while unpacking a box. Friends and family adored the story and the characters. With the added support of community, collaborations and iterations - Isosceles Jane entered the modern age.
Now Isosceles Jane isn't just a lonely girl in the geometric world, she has a universe of her own to play in, learn and grow with new friends, to explore endless possibilities, and to ask life's big questions.
